Boys: Things To Bring To Summer Camp (Three Things You Certainly Need!)
Kids experience the exciting feeling when they go on planning and going about the things to bring along with them they go to summer camp. More often, though, first timers undergo confusion. One major cause of anxiety among the boys is thinking of the right things to bring. Since they will be away from home-and for the first time, too-they believed that orderly should be done. They need to have a mixture of the things that would somehow remind them of home.
And if you a parent sending his child to a camp for the very first time, or maybe a young person who is very concern about his first camp event, the list below will surely be an aid for you. Read on and be ready for a cool summer! The following 3 concerns will surely help you when you arrive at your first camp.
1. Organization is the key. Once you knew that you will be staying in a cabin the whole summer camp schedule, it is a necessity that you take along with plastic drawers where you can just place your clothes after arriving there. This will avoid confusion over your things and the things of the other campers. No need for clutters and mess. Take along with you a shower pail that will be handy when you take a fast shower there.
2. Your clothes. These should be your main bulk of things. And if you are in need of suggestions, take note of the following. You need to have 6-7 normal shirts, plus two or three ones that are ready to get dirty. Take note to bring along four to five pair of shorts too. Since you will be in and out of mud, water, forest conditions, and dirt, be ready to have several clean pants too. 2 pairs of sweat pants and 2 pairs of jeans should be handy. Having 7 to 8 pairs of undies should good enough for you, especially if there is a laundry service that will be done twice a week. A couple of shoes and flip-flops, 2 pairs of pajamas are also suggested.
3. Some extra-extra. Whatever happens when one is outdoors is something no one is sure about, it would also be better if you will some extra stuff with you. The long weeks of being away from home can be boring if you don’t have alternatives when camp activities are over. So having some stuff to entertain and eat away the time are also advisable. Take along a good reading book, some decks of cards, a trusted alarm clock, art stuff, and pictures from home, when you feel homesick. It is important that you don’t bring any electrical device with you since there is always a no-electricity policy in some summer camps. Digicams are not usable there, but disposable cameras can help you capture scenes for souvenirs.
A handy backpack, small one, will be convenient so that you can take some things with you during daytime fun and activities. It would come in handy when you bring bottled water, hankies, your disposable cams, sunscreen, bug spray, and whatever stuff you might need.
I hope that somehow with these things mentioned and enumerated, you will be guided and inspired in your venture with summer camp. All the experiences you will collect will make an important contribution when you grow older and wiser.

Escorted Cuba Tours
Cuba is a country that very few people know anything about because of the travel restrictions that were in place for so many years. Now the United States has lifted those restrictions, and Americans have permission to travel there. As a result, there are some exciting, small group Cuba tours available for tourists.
If you are a traveler who enjoys seeing new countries, you will enjoy a small group tour. You will not only be touring as a group, but individually, you’ll have the opportunity to do some sightseeing on your own. You can, also, choose to participate in some optional local activities at the same price the Cubans pay.
One of the biggest complaints of people who go on tours is that they do not have the opportunity to interact with the local people. The small group tours in Cuba are not that way. You will have a local Cuban tour guide, and most of your accommodations will be in the homes of Cuban families.
These tours are not luxurious, but everything is clean and comfortable. You won’t just have the opportunity to meet local Cubans, you will have the opportunity to really get to know your tour companions since the groups are small.
An example of a small group tour is the eight day Western Cuba Tour. The group size will be between two and twelve with the average size being seven. The arrival destination is the city of Havana. There are no activities planned for the first day so you can use the time to visit the city on your own.
You will visit two other places on this tour where you will have the opportunity to hike, explore caves, go bicycling, snorkel off one of Cuba’s best beaches and go horseback riding. You will be able to see Cuban wildlife as you travel. Every night will be spent in the home of a Cuban family. Day eight is similar to the first day. You may leave Cuba at whatever time is convenient for you.
These tours are a great way to relax and enjoy a visit to Cuba. Because the groups are small, you will make some lifelong friends as you travel together. Small group Cuba tours are an intriguing way to see Cuba as it is.

What Camping Equipment Do You Need?
The tent is the most important item to have for camping, but after buying one you will still need some other pieces of camping kit. If you are on a tight budget, there is no need to go out and buy the most expensive items of kit, and some of the cheaper gear can last a long time, especially if you don’t go camping very often. Some of the gear you will need to buy before you set out on your first trip is listed here:
Sleeping Bag - A sleeping bag isn’t essential if you are using your car to transport your gear, in which case you can use your bedding from home to get a good night’s sleep. If you are travelling light, you will need a sleeping bag and the best ones are filled with down. They are usually expensive but are warm and light. Sleeping bags filled with hollow synthetic fibre can be nearly as warm and light, and are normally cheaper than down-filled bags. Cheap sleeping bags are often only warm enough in Summer, so if you are planning to camp in any other season, you will probably need to spend a little more to get a thicker, warmer sleeping bag.
Insulating sleeping mats are very light and don’t take up much space. Place a mat under your sleeping bag to insulate it from the cold ground. They are also useful if you use an inflatable mattress, just lay the mat on the mattress before putting the sleeping bag on top.
Inflatable mattresses and self-inflating mats definitely make your time spent sleeping in the tent much more comfortable. You will need some means of inflating the inflatable mattress, either an electrically-operated pump (some are powered by car battery, others have their own batteries), or a foot-operated or hand-operated pump.
Unless you don’t mind cold food all of the trip, you will need a camping stove. They can be small single-burner stoves running off a tiny gas canister, large multi-burner stoves powered by large, heavy gas bottles or can be powered by a number of other fuels. If you are buying a small stove, check to see how stable it will be on uneven ground. With the weight of a pan of hot water on the burner, some stoves can become dangerously unstable.
Utensils for cooking and eating can be anything from a mess tin to cook in and eat from plus a spoon, up to matching cups, plates and cutlery. Don’t buy more than you need, and choose foods which either don’t need heating or ones which cook quickly, so you don’t waste fuel.
A torch (flashlight) is an essential item for night-time calls of nature and for putting your tent up in the dark when arriving late at the camp site.
